I'M ADAM POWNEY

 

Currently studying BA (Hons) Media Culture and Production at Southampton Solent University. 

 

I am an enthusiastic and active media creative. I have a real passion for Radio, Sound, Graphic Design and Online Media (Social Media and Development). Although those are my desired career choices, I have a sophisticated knowledge of Photography, Website Development, Music Production, Videography, Editing (Audio and Video) and Media Culture. 

 

College had a focus on boosting my level of knowledge about Media and guiding my career visions in the media industry. On top of this 5 years of Performing Arts (Acting) has given me a whole different skillset that is incredibly helpful in my industry of choice.

 

While at University I have become the Chair of Sonar Media, which is the Student's Union "special class society" that envelopes Radio, TV, Film and Magazine. Radio Sonar is also a large part of my university experience, being Head of Marketing, hosting a show and looking to take over as Station Manager in 2016. I hope to showcase my active nature and willingness to do well in the working world of Media.
